my dad bought me a cupcake stand! I had fun making lots of pretty looking cupcakes to fill it. I made a double mixture of this cupcake recipe and just added about 3 Tbsp cocoa to half of it, to make chocolate ones.
Cupcakes 125g butter 1 tsp vanilla essence 1/2 cup caster sugar 2 eggs 1 cup flour 2 tsp baking powder 1/4 cup milkCream butter, vanilla and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Sift flour and baking powder together. Fold into creamed mixture. Stir in milk. Place 18 paper patty cases in patty tins. Spoon mixture evenly into paper cases. Bake at 190C for 15min or until cakes spring back when lightly touched. Transfer to wire rack. When cold decorate as wished.

100g butter 1/4 tsp vanilla essence2 cups icing sugar 1-2 Tbsp hot waterCream together butter and vanilla essence. gradually add icing sugar then add hot water.
